Ashanti J. Bryant

With more than two decades of experience in social work and education, Ashanti Bryant serves as the Education Director at Amplify Grand Rapids. Amplify GR’s vision is a community in which everyone has ample access to self-sufficient income, a safe home, a well-rounded education, a healthy community, and economic opportunities to create wealth. In his role, Ashanti coordinates all partnership efforts with neighborhood schools and is leading the charge to increase access to high-quality early childhood and family education. He has experience as a teacher, a principal, and as an instructor/professor in early childhood and urban education. He has worked in Detroit Public Schools, Chicago Public Schools, National Heritage Academies, Grand Rapids Christian Schools, at several local colleges and universities throughout Michigan.

Q: What are you most excited for at #MiCSS19? 

A: I am excited to network and learn with school leaders and influencers in charter education!

A: Compelling

 

Q: What's one thing you hope attendees learn in your session? 

A: A successful community includes quality schools. Struggling neighborhoods typically lack high-quality education options for their children. The holistic Purpose Built model includes a cradle-to-college education pipeline that ensure student growth, learning and achievement at every level, enhancing opportunities for successful futures.
