Speaker Q & A

Q: What are you most excited for at #MiCSS19?

A: I'm excited to spread the word about Adverse Childhood Experiences. Physical, mental, and community health all impact education and charters have the opportunity to be innovative and find creative ways to meet the needs of students.

Q: What's one adjective you would use to describe your session?

A: Enlightening

Q: What's one thing you hope attendees learn in your session?

A: No matter our occupation whether we are in education, health care, law enforcement, or the business world, we all have a responsibility in building healing communities and meeting the needs of those of us who have experienced trauma and have high ACE scores. ACEs are common and have long lasting social, health, and educational implications. We must work together and break down the silos to lessen the horrific impact ACE's have on individuals and society as a whole.
