Shawna Boomgaard, LMSW, ACTP, has more than 20 years of experience working with children, youth and families in the field of education and clinical social work. She is presently the Manager of Academic Accountability for the Office of Public School Academies in the School of Education and Human Services at Oakland University in Rochester, MI. She is also adjunct faculty for the School of Social Work and the Department of Human Development and Child Studies at Oakland University. In addition, she supervises undergraduate and graduate students with local colleges and universities as a field instructor. She actively presents and attends state, national and international conferences, trainings and workshops on advancing research and treatment practices in both education and mental health.
