Once you're accepted into the program, you'll get connected with our coaches, processes and digital program community.
Once you are accepted into the program you will be enrolled in the next cohort. At cohort launch you will begin the 18 months of intensive coursework to complete program requirements for eligibilty of an Interim Certificate.
Our program offers a model where you will be learning and applying concepts learned with real-time feedback from expert coaches and fellow program participants. A placement in the area of endorsement will be required to complete the equivalence of an 8 week experience prior to eligibility for certification.
To move forward with your endorsement, all candidates must show evidence of passing the MI Test for Teacher Certification. Our program offers unique coaching and resources to help you pass with flying colors. Once completed, you will be awarded your Interim Endorsement for Special Education.
During your three year program, you’ll be required to complete coursework, have the opportunity to engage with peers, and have access to our exclusive digital learning network.
Upon successful program completion you will be recommended for Standard certification

Candidates study the basics and foundations in special education, and come to understand the laws that guide special ed instruction, as well as the psychology behind the emotional and cognitive challenges they will address as educators.
Through collaboration and reflective practice, candidates refine teaching and management skills with focus on strategies for individualized instruction, restorative practices, and trauma-informed instruction.
Candidates explore supports for students with impairment, focusing on setting up tracking strategies, providing feedback to families, and assessing growth/challenges.

We offer a dual certification program for candidates seeking an initial teaching certificate with a Special Education (EI or CI) endorsement. The cost of that program is $10,000. For those holding a standard teaching certificate, we offer a Special Education endorsement program that has a cost of $7500.
