About the #MICharterHero project
Every day, Michigan’s charter schools are powered by incredible heroes—teachers who inspire, leaders who uplift, and staff who keep everything running smoothly. The #MICharterHero program is your chance to shine a spotlight on these extraordinary individuals who make a difference in the lives of students and families. Nominate an educator, administrator, or staff member who goes above and beyond! Your nomination is quick, anonymous, and ongoing—and every selected hero will be recognized across MAPSA's platforms.
Eligibility requirements & key program info
Eligible "heroes" include any individual that works for a Michigan charter school. This includes charter school teachers, administrators/school leaders, deans/instructional coaches, front office managers, librarians, bus drivers, food administrators, etc.
Nominations are completely anonymous, which means we won't share nominator information with our selected hero. If your hero is selected as our monthly feature, you will be contacted to optionally provide a quote for the story, if you wish to participate.
Nominations are always open and collected on a rolling basis.
You MUST provide a valid email address for your nominated hero, otherwise we cannot contact them if they are selected.
We encourage you to be thorough and descriptive in your nomination. You know your hero better than anyone, and are best positioned to advocate for their selection to us. As you answer these questions, you CAN use individual, personal stories, real examples of impact, etc.
