National Charter Schools Week is an annual event that unites parents, students, educators, and advocates across the country. Michigan joins the greater movement to celebrate charter schools and stand up for choice in education!
Everyday during Charter School Week, a Michigan charter public school has the chance to highlight their unique school via MAPSA's instagram and facebook stories.
Charter students from across the state submit works of art representing why "charters make a different" in their lives. Art is then judged and then voted on by popular vote. Winner students receive cash prizes.
Hand-written letters are a great way to connect with your local lawmakers, and we plan to gather as many letters from charter students, parents and educators as possible - then deliver them to as many lawmakers as possible.
Lawmakers respond best to stories from their own constituents. Sharing your school’s story is far more powerful when it comes directly from the people they represent. This budget season, raise your voice for learner choice.
