We'll take a deeper look at several key issues facing the charter movement.
Dr. Jody Carrington is a renowned psychologist sought after for her expertise, energy, and approach to helping people solve their most complex human-centered challenges. Jody focuses much of her work around reconnection – the key to healthy relationships and productive teams and has a passion for schools and educators. A few years ago, we partnered with her shortly after the pandemic hit us, and she was a force to be reckoned with. She is beyond excited to be joining us IN-PERSON this December.
The Michigan Charter School Symposium is a conference built for charter professionals, by charter professionals, to celebrate charter professionals. We believe that to push the boundaries of innovation, we have to lead in the areas that matter to students and families most. That's why our sessions and speakers are curated in these core areas.
Sessions in this category will explore core foundations that create the opportunity for healthy educators to subsequently support and grow emotionally healthy students.
Sessions in this category address how to cultivate professional growth opportunities for teachers, amplifying teacher voices to build a strong school culture, and creative practices for recruiting great educators.
Sessions in this category examine where the MI charter movement is at & where we can go, big ideas that can redefine and reshape K-12 education, and how we, as charter advocates, can have impact on the education policies that impact our schools and students.
Sessions in this category will examine the innovative educational strategies of tomorrow. As we move past pandemic thinking, how will we deliver instruction in 2, 5, 10 years? How will we as educators continue to adapt to meet the modern needs of students and families?
Sessions in this category will address how we can meaningfully engage key stakeholders like parents and community members to build more success in our schools.
