Creative Technologies Academy

Funding cut veto impact: $75,000

Creative Technologies Academy is a K-12 charter school that features small class sizes and an emphasis on teaching character and leadership. Their family-like atmosphere and team of dedicated educators truly set them apart.

In 2017, their very own third grade teacher, Kayla Campbell, was named a MI Charter Teacher of the Year finalist - largely in part due to the "adventure" she takes her students on with each and every lesson.

The school was planning on spending its $240-per-pupil increase to give raises to teachers and other staff members, and to fund several program enhancements.
