The new year is starting off right with National School Choice Week (NSCW), which goes from January 20-26, 2019. This week-long celebration is a wonderful opportunity for all members of the school choice community to highlight the benefits for parents and students.
During NSCW, traditional public schools, charter schools, homeschool groups and other school choice organizations participate in thousands of independent events across the United States. These celebratory events raise public awareness of the different K-12 education options available to children and families, while also spotlighting the benefits of school choice.
Join in for this week long celebration at your charter school by planning an event at your school celebrating your accomplishments with students and parents, or by taking advantage of some of these tools:
You can also have students learn the dance that is showcased on the National School Choice Week website. Record your students and share your video on social media and use #schoolchoice and #ChartersLead to connect with others who are also participating in this engaging activity. This event brings together the school choice community, including charter schools, through a shared experience celebration education options.
